Cardinals defeat Cowboys 30-24 in Overtime

The Dallas Cowboys had a very rough day yesterday in the desert. The Cards returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown and then won on a blocked punt for a TD in overtime. The Cowboys then learned today that QB Tony Romo broke his pinky finger and will miss four weeks. Backup veteran Brad Johnson will take over. This injury hurts Dallas bigtime, but is not the end of the world. Brad Johnson is a great game manager and won a Super Bowl as a starting quarte! rback earlier in his career. Expect Marion Barber to have a ton of big games in the next few weeks. The Cardinals with the win move to 4-2 and look poised to win the NFC West ending their playoff drought.
Chargers crush Patriots 30-10

San Diego was facing a must win going into last night's game against New England. The Chargers came out strong and dominated the Patriots. QB Phillip Rivers quickly learned he could pick on Pats DB Deltha O'Neal and torched him a! ll night. WR Vincent Jackson had a huge game because of this.! LT loo ked good running the ball, and the defense shut down Matt Cassel and the Pats offense. On the NE side, not many good things happened. The defense struggled mightily and looked lost at times. On offense Cassel was forcing balls and Sammy Morris never got the running game on track. The Pats needs Laurence Maroney healthy to bail out the struggling Cassel. WR Randy Moss dropped several balls and gave up on a ton of routes. I am not seeing the effort out of Moss, which is killing the Pats because they need this guy to step out and help Cassel. The AFC East really does look up for grabs.
Other Matchups
The biggest upset of the week was the St. Louis Rams knocking off the red hot Washington Redskins. This was a shocker considering how well Washington has played the past few weeks. The NFC East is real tight now with the Giants, Skins, and Cowboys all at 4 wins, NY goes for 5 tonight, and Philly with 3. Houston finall! y got a much needed victory over Miami 29-28 lead by QB Matt Schaub. The Texans are a great team, but still are not playing to their f
